I made this for Christmas morning brunch. Great flavors but the bottom crust stayed pretty soggy and didn't firm up how I would have liked. Very easy, though.

I've made this recipe many times. Everyone loves it & it is amazing. Just make sure you wait awhile before putting the finishing touches on top, otherwise it melts. :] Delicious!

Why not try a jelly roll pan to make the crust thinner than using a cake pan? I am going to try this the next time with two cans of pie filling. It would then seem more like a cherry turnover recipe.

Pretty good. The frosting was way too runny -- I would recommend only 1 or 2 Tbsp of milk at the most for 3/4 cup of powdered sugar. Also, I used two whole cans of cherry pie filling and it was the PERFECT amount! If there's any way to get the crust flakier and not quite so puffy, I'd love to know how.
