I'm a diabete . I made some changes with using no sugar puddings and used fat free cool whip. It was great. Wish you had more diabete receipes.
Amazing! I made it with french vanilla pudding and chocolate pudding instead of baking chocolate and it was wonderful! Very messy though.
I made this for Easter and EVERYONE loved it! I had no problems toasting the coconut (I thought I would because I am not a kitchen wizard) and it was oh so easy to make! You HAVE to make this one!
My family loves coconut and we were all anxious to try this pie. It was easy to make and tasted great. Toasting coconut can be tricky but definitely brings out the flavor and worth the time.
We didn't like the graham cracker crust with this pie. I think a regular pastry or a chocolate crust would be good. The pie seemed to lack flavor--maybe some cream cheese added to it would be good. I tried toasting the coconut in my microwave as instructed and had to throw the first batch away. It was burned after only 1 min. 45 seconds.
I didn't have the Baker's chocolate so I used 2 oz. of semi sweet chocolate chips. I used French Vanilla Pudding, but next time will use the Coconut Cream Pudding for a more coconutty flavor. My husband loves this pie, said it's one of the best.
This recipe is very good! I didn't use the chocolate, that just seems a little weird to me, but the pie turned out so good that people were fighting over it and wanting more! I had to make the pie again so everyone could get a second piece! I added sliced almonds to the top with the toasted coconut. Totally yummy!
