this was very good. used only 1 bag of broccoli slaw, and 2 bags of the chicken. also, substituted crushed pinapple, because it was on hand. it was great in a pita also! took the advice to not add cashews- i let everyone add their own- had lots leftover, so i was glad i didn't add them. will make again!
This is an excellent dinner entree especially on a hot summer day because it's so light, yet very fulfilling. Instead of the Poppy Seed dressing, I used the new Kraft Asian Toasted Sesame Light dressing with Asian Crunch Noodles instead of cashews-half the calories and fat-can beat that!
This refreshing salad is ABSOLUTELY delicious!!! My husband loved it and he will not even look at broccolli, much less eat it!! (I didn't tell him it was broccolli slaw!!) It was so easy to put together. Great for a summertime picnic or everyday!
The first time I made this recipe, I used the packaged chicken and it turned out pretty well. The second time I made it, I used roasted chicken from the grocery store, and by the time I went to eat it in my lunch the next day, the chicken pieces were all soggy and mushy. I don't know what happened to it, but I was really bummed because I figured fresh chicken would make it better, not worse.
My husband is a very picky eater, he really enjoyed this. This recipe would be perfect for a hot summer day, very refreshing. The only change I did was added grilled chicken tenders that I seasoned with steak seasoning, and served it with some grilled naan bread. Perfect, can't wait to make it again.
My husband wants it all to himself. He suggests shaving the red peppers instead of slicing.
This was a great recipe! I had doubts while putting it together, and came close to throwing it out before trying. It was excellent!! What a surprize! I will definitly make it again! (my husband loved it too)
AMAZIZNG!! I used only about a cup of red peppers. I cooked the chicken in olive oil with a few slices of red pepper. Great idea to add crunchy lo mein noodles. Will make again!
I was pretty leary addidng pineapple to 4 cups of broccoli slaw but it all came together! Glad I tried it. I will be making this again.
I really really liked it, but I must add, I skipped the pineapple!
