Beef Pot Roast and Winter Vegetables

Beef Pot Roast and Winter Vegetables recipe
Browning the beef in a skillet before putting it in the roasting pan is the key to deliciousness in this smart stew. Cook it low and slow for juicy tenderness.

I have been trying to master a good roast like my mom's and grandma's roasts. It is the first time in 38 years I have finally made one! THANK YOU!

My family loved this recipe. The combo of flavors was great and the meat was tender. Will make again.

This was a pretty good roast, but both my boyfriend and I did not like the mushrooms. I made it in the crockpot, 7 hours on low.

The meat flavor was good, but all the vegetables absorbed the flavor of the soup, so it all tasted the same.

I doubled the recipe because I had twice the meat. Don't double the marinade. It was far too strong and flavored the veggies way too much.

I didn't have any marinade so I substituted A-1 Bold & Spicy (1/4 c.). Very tasty pot roast! Can't wait for Saturday (quick supper night) to have the leftovers.

Enjoyed the roast very much. Thought it needed more veggies. Not enough potato and carrots in the recipe. Otherwise very tasty.
