We loved it. I had a jar of roasted red peppers left over and used them - excellent. Also sauteed some fresh mushrooms with the onion. Did not have cream-style corn on hand so used regular and added scant 1/4 cup half-and-half. Served it with rye bread and it was really excellent. I, too, used chicken instead of the turkey.

Because I didn't have turkey I substituted chicken breast and I and my husband loved it. I want to try it with something like clams or oysters or shrimp. The soup had excellent flavor. Top it with crackers or croutons for extra body.

With turkey left over from Xmas, this made a scrumptious lunch. It had a very creamy texture, but the pepper taste added just a little spice. Great on a winter day and quck!

I made this recipe and my family LOVED it!!! It is a very creamy and tasty soup. I added rice to this soup to create a more hearty meal. I highly recommend this for a cold winters day.
