Made this the other night and was pleasantly surprised with how professional-looking and tasty it came out. Everyone was impressed (but I didn't tell them just how easy it was to make) . I will DEFINITELY make this cake again!

I made this cake as a groom's cake for a friend's wedding. It was gone and more than half the wedding cake was left behind. I carried it in a paper cake box so I wouldn't have to bring an empty container home & people couldn't believe it was a homemade cake. My husband asks me to make it every now & then & he'll brag to his buddies for a week about how great it was. So easy to make & well worth every ounce of effort.

I always make this cake for special occasions. It is so pretty and easy to make too. It tastes wonderful! I usually use more chocolate for the filling. If I can't find the Baker's chocolate at the store, I usually substitute milk chocolate chips. Don't refrigerate too long, or the chocolate on the top gets too hard to slice. Overall, this is one of my absolute favorite recipes.

I thought the cake was alright. I think that maybe it was a little too much chocolate for me. It was a spectacular hit at the party I brought it to. Everyone else loved it. Tip: Do not refrigerate it too long. The frosting gets very hard. And also add as much of the filling to the middle (even if it means doubling the batch). It will add to the look of the cake and also help with the taste. Easy on the coffee if you don't like coffee too much.
