Made white cake with green jello for St. Patrick' Day! Yum! Added a tiny bit of green jello powder to the Cool Whip and wow! So awesome!
This was a wonderful dessert! You can use differant flavors of jello to make a varity of cakes. I also colored the whip cream with about 5 drops of food coloring, that gave the cake a rich icing look.
Very good, and the jello makes the cake more moist. Feel free to vary flavors.
I am prediabetic and I am trying to follow a diabetic diet, so I am always looking for low-cal and low sugar desserts. This is great! I used strawberry jello instead and it was so good. I took it to a church dinner and people loved it, and didn't even know it was low sugar! Will be making again and again.
This cake was a great hit at pitch-in. Have made several times, with different flavors of jello
I loved this cake! It is sooo yummy! But this online version is a little different than the version I got from the magazine... No big deal though.
I am diabetic and I made this cake the other night. I found it quite tasteful and enjoyable and it was very moist. A lot of diabtics feel left out on sweets but this is on that you can enjoy. I have tried a few cakes with cool whip and I love it so I will continue to use whip instead of frosting on all my cakes.
Absolutely delicious! Highly recommend. Makes a wonderful summertime dessert because it is light - and very tasty.
I tried it with regular frosting instead of whipped cream...probably would've been better with whipped cream, easier to spread on at least. But it tasted good.
I made this cake for my daughter's birthday. It was a huge hit and it now everyone's favorite cake. We all Loved the black cherry jello and it is a beautiful color.
