This was very good. I would definately used regular whipped cream, and regular jello. I guess i don't belive in "diet" dessert. But it was very good, and the layers were very pretty with the red stripes.

I made this cake but did kind of my own thing. I used the basic idea of it. I used a 9x13 cake pan, & Strawberry instead of the round & Black Cherry. It came out tasteing like Strawberry Shortcake. Next time I am going to use the smaller box of jello just to get more of the White cake flavor. I also heard that you can do this with Pudding, I am making that tonight.

Not a fan of white cake, but this was very good. My family LOVED it. Only had one of my round cake pans so I used a tube pan-worked just fine. Will make again.

I made cupcakes instead of a cake. I used devilsfood cake mix and regular jello, not sugar free. I poked holes in each one than dipped the head if each cupcake into the liquid jello, than poured the remaining liquid into each one. Let them set up and top with cool whip.....SO GOOD!!!!

This cake turned out wonderful! Its really light and not too sweet. I used regular Jell-o instead of Sugar Free, but it would probably be great either way.

the kids and i really like this, but picky dh, wanted real icing... i was worried bc the last time i used whipped cream as icing, the stuff turned to liquid, but not this time.

I changed this recipe a little bit, also. Instead of using white cake I used chocolate cake on my husbands request and whipped chocolate icing. I still used the black cheery jello so it was more like a black forest cake. Very Good!!

WHAT A GREAT TASTING, EASY TO MAKE TREAT! SO FEW INGREDIENTS YET SO GOOD. THIS WILL BE A GOOD CAKE TO SURPRISE GUESTS. I OPTED TO USE 2 CONTAINERS OF COOL WHIP THOUGH.......MY HUBBY IS A COOL WHIPOHOLIC & I ALSO LIKE VOLUMINOUS ICING!

i used lime jello, was a little time consuming, but the cake was delicious!! Has a very lite refreshing taste with the lime jello, i will definetly be taking it to some summer BBQ's!
