This recipe was just okay to me at first. Its not a recipe i felt was likable at first bite, but it grows on you.
Try this with ranch dressing instead of italian. it is fabulous!
I used a packet of dry italian dressing mix and increased the cooking time. Very good meal and even better left over.
The chicken came out dry and neither my husband or son cared for the dish as a whole.
It's a basic dish, and the Italian dressing adds a bit of a twist, but it still needs something more to bring it all together. It's not bad, and I would have given it a 2 stars (fair), but it was easy to make, so it gets a 3.
This is the first recipe I had made from here, and it was great. Everyone loved it. Will definetly make it again and again.
After reading the other ratings about the veggies being too hard, I mixed the vegetables with some extra dressing and cooked them in the microwave for a few minutes before putting in the baking pan. That way the chicken & vegetables were done at the same time. Of course, it did add a few extra minutes of prep time.
After cooking this to the specified time the veggies were still hard. I covered the pan with foil and put it back in the oven for another 15-20 min and then they were just perfect. The only thing I added to this recipe was a couple of minced garlic cloves over the top of the veggies before cooking. However, I forgot to put the cheese on top before serving! lol My husband loved it, my 14 yr old said it was just "OK" that he thought he needed more spice or something and I thought it was good. This dish was very easy to make.
Veggies turned out way too hard.
This is a great recipe. Very simple to make and very satisfying!
