Just made this for lunch -- very easy! Used brown rice instead of white and garlic instead of onion (used 2 cloves, will use more next time!). Used double the amount of asparagus and extra fresh lemon juice! If using brown rice, you'll need to cook longer for the rice to be soft! Also, added black pepper.

My bad-while copying this recipe I realized that I used long cooking rice instead of instant, which would explain why the rice wasn't done!

I have been making this recipe for over a year now. I use zest and juice from a whole lemon and about a pound of aparagus. The flavors are strong but that's just the way we like it! Add the lemon juice before putting in the cream cheese to distribute the flavor more evenly. I always nuke the cream cheese for 10-15 seconds before adding it so that I don't get any lumps.

Really good and pretty easy! It needs a little salt and pepper, but otherwise it's delicious. My husband and one-year-old loved it.

I made the rice ahead in a rice cooker, and it turned out Great! Will definitely make this recipe again

I thought this was a nice twist to just having regular rice at the dinner table. My family loves rice, and it's nice to find a new recipe. We loved the creamy lemon flavor. The kids weren't hot about the asparagus though.

The rice never cooked and remained crunchy, although I followed the recipe exactly. Even after adding water, the rice never cooked. I ended up throwing out the entire pan!
