Easy Bake Strata

Every time I make this I am always asked for the recipe. It is so easy and add diced ham, it tastes and looks like you cooked all day! Top with LOTS of cheese. Awesome.

small onion, chopped

1/2

cup chopped red pepper

cups packed torn fresh spinach

pkg. (6 oz.) STOVE TOP Stuffing Mix for Chicken

Tbsp. chopped fresh parsley

eggs

3/4

cup KRAFT Shredded Mozzarella Cheese

Make It

PREHEAT oven to 375°F. Spray large skillet with cooking spray. Add onion and red pepper; cook and stir on medium-high heat 5 min. or until softened. Stir in spinach; set aside.

PREPARE stuffing mix as directed on package; stir in onion mixture and parsley. Beat eggs; mix with stuffing mixture. Pour into greased 8-inch square baking pan. Sprinkle with cheese.

BAKE 35 min. or until firm. Cool 15 min. Cut into strips or squares. Serve warm or at room temperature.

Substitute 3 cups chopped asparagus for spinach.

Very very tasty. Thinking I might add a bit more in the lines of seasoning, but the wife and I both loved it!

The strata was delicious! The stove top stuffing really packs in a lot of flavor. However, it took me longer than 15 minutes to prepare the ingredients. Also, my husband and I agreed that the strata would make a better side dish than entree. I'm planning to serve the leftovers with ham steaks tonight.

I added smoked salmon to this recipe. Easy and VERY good!

Great as breakfast "casserole." Prep time of 5 minutes does not include the time to chop the veggies :-) but otherwise really easy to make. Use reduced sodium Stove Top if you're heart healthy.

I've made this twice, once just like the recipe and the second using basil pesto and Kraft's 5-Italian Shredded Cheese. It was excellent both ways. It's easy to make, presents well on the table and tastes delicious. It is a keeper in my file for brunches!

Yes, a very easy recipe for a Mom with 2 kids under two ;o) Also, as mentioned, great to experiment with various ingredients or whatever you have on hand.

My husband didn't like it, but I did. I substituted green pepper and dry parsley flakes because it was what I had on hand. I also mixed some mozzarella into the batter. I liked it because I could eat a square on the run for breakfast.

I used egg subsitute w/this recipe and it was fine, also used the asparagus and I also added a grilled chicken breast. I sprinkled just a little bit of chesse when it came from the oven. An eye appealing dish.

For something quick on a week night, this dish was wonderful. I served it with grilled chicken, but the dish was so filling you could just eat it by itself.
