Mac 'N Cheese Pie recipe

They always like to hear they're having mac and cheese. Wait until they see it in pie form, loaded up with chopped ham, a bit of broccoli and extra cheese!

I made this with the regular Mac and Cheese (one box) because I didn't have the Deluxe. I put the mix and the milk in with the eggs (I only used 3 because of the one box). I drained the pasta and the broccoli them put back in the pan and added the butter to melt (to help keep it from being dry). Then I mixed all the ingredients together and baked as suggested. Everyone loved it.

After my mother made this for my kids and it was so very dry, I read the recipe myself and realized she used the traditional dry mix mac & cheese, not the DELUXE with the sauce packet! I've since made it with the Deluxe Mac & Cheese (which the recipe calls for) and it is quite good and not dry.

If you want to make it chessier than make it with homemade mac n' chesse. Elbow macorroni and velvita chesse. Then you can and as much chesse as you want.

This ended up so dry and non-cheesy that even my 10 month old wouldn't eat it. I'm trying to figure out how to make it cheesier. I might leave out some of the macaroni next time. It just wasn't what I thought it would be.
