I had been looking for this recipe for a long time. When I was in junior high they would serve this coffee bread that I always rememebered and I'm glad I found your recipe it's just like it. Thank you for all the helpful hints and delicious recipes.

big hit at "son-rise" service Easter '07. I thought I had a yellow cake mix but at 4:30am realized it was a butter cake mix. Very good.I rate my recipes on the reaction of my friends....this is a keeper.

POSITIVELY DELICIOUS!! People will think you baked for hours. I brought this on a High school field trip and the teachers and older students couldn't stay out of it. I will Definately make it again. Since oven temps vary, watch baking time you don't want it to over bake it's very crumbly.

Cake was very easy to make, and it turned out flawlessly. Both my husband (who is not a "coffee cake" kind of guy) and my daughter (pickiest eater on the planet) loved it. I left out the coconut and added a few more walnuts, just due to personal preference. I'm taking it to a brunch, and I expect it to be well received!
