Take 1 cup milk and 1-1/2 cups thawed COOL WHIP Whipped Topping and mix & match your recipe from these options...

Jell-O Instant Pudding options	flavoring choices	cookie possibilities
Lemon	1/4 tsp. ground ginger	30 Nabisco Ginger Snaps
Vanilla	1 Tbsp. cocoa powder	30 Famous Chocolate Wafers
Chocolate	3/4 to 1 tsp. ground cinnamon	30 Chips Ahoy! Real Chocolate Chip Cookies
Butterscotch	1/2 tsp. vanilla	60 Nilla Wafers (makes 2 logs)

Then follow our 3 simple steps:

POUR milk into medium bowl. Add 1 pkg. (4-serving size) dry pudding mix and flavoring. Beat with wire whisk 2 min. or until well blended. Gently stir in whipped topping.

SPREAD about 2 tsp. pudding mixture onto each cookie. Begin stacking cookies together, standing on edge on serving platter to make a log. Frost with remaining pudding mixture.

REFRIGERATE overnight. Cut diagonally to serve.

I made this for Father's Day and everyone enjoyed it. I also made two rows instead of one, and made it with homemade chocolate chip cookies and chocolate pudding.

I made this cake on 6/14/05 and it turned out awful. I followed the recipe as it said but mine looked nowhere near as the picture in the magazine.

I did the lemon variation of this as well, and loved it. Took it over to a friends house, and they all loved it, including the 4 year old son (very fussy) and 1 year old daughter. Next is to do the chocolate chip one..

I made the lemon version of this for my co-workers and everyone loved it! I actually ran out of the pudding mixture (I used too much in between cookies) so I just used the leftover Cool Whip as the "icing". It was fantastic!

The chocolate version was a big hit with my family. I stacked the cookies in two rows of 15, side by side, instead of one long row. Made a loaf size dessert with just the right size serving!

I agree, I studied the picture forever trying to figure out how the cookies were stacked - but it's easier than it looks. Just stack the cookies one on top of each other (but laying the whole stack on it's side, to make a log) - yes it may be narrow, but once you frost it, it's full. As the cookies absorb the moisture overnight, they will expand to cake-like fluffiness. The picture is confusing, so just ignore it.
