New Potato Summer Salad

Potatoes, ripe tomatoes and crunchy bacon get together in this smart salad. Boost the flavor by tossing it all together while it's still warm.

What You Need

lb. new potatoes (about 18), cut into 1-inch cubes

1/2

cup thinly sliced red onion

1/2

cup cherry tomatoes, halved

1/4

cup OSCAR MAYER Real Bacon Bits

1/4

cup chopped fresh basil

1/4

cup KRAFT Zesty Italian Dressing

1/4

cup MIRACLE WHIP Dressing

tsp. GREY POUPON Dijon Mustard

Make It

COOK potatoes in boiling water 10 to 12 min. or just until tender; drain. Place in large bowl. Add onions, tomatoes, bacon bits and basil; mix lightly.

MIX remaining ingredients. Add to potato mixture; toss to coat.

REFRIGERATE several hours or until chilled.

Variation

To serve warm, heat bacon bits in microwave for a few seconds; toss with the warm just-cooked potatoes. Add onions, tomatoes and basil; mix lightly. Mix remaining ingredients. Add to potato mixture; toss to coat. Serve warm. Refrigerate any remaining potato salad.

Substitute

Prepare using KRAFT Balsamic Vinaigrette Dressing.

Purchasing Potatoes

Look for firm, smooth, well-shaped potatoes that are free of wrinkles, cracks and blemishes. Avoid any with green-tinged skins or sprouting "eyes" or buds.

Absolutely tastey! Puts the zing in a salad instead of the same bland taste! The combination of ingredients make it work!! Have forwarded to some of my friends, and will absolutely make it again!

I made this salad for the 4th of July and it was great. Big hit with all the family we had over. I did substitute Kraft Mayo for the Miracle Whip since we are not Miracle Whip people. Also a good make ahead since I made it the day before.

This is the BEST potato salad! I don't like mustard in my potato salad, but this was just a subtle hint of the mustard. I personally think it's the red potatoes make this so delish!!! I highly recommend this if you like potato salad! My husband absolutely loved it too! We've made it twice already! Thanks for this great recipe!!!

My family loved this salad. My kids are so picky,however they liked it and asked for more. This salad is was different taste with a extra kick! Tasted delious.

Quick and easy to make, and full of flavor! It tasted just as good--perhaps even better--the next day.
