This is best when frozen peas are uncooked.

Convenient for taking to a party or gathering...a do-ahead recipe. Everyone seemed to like it, I certainly did, especially since the ingredients are veggies. Do use a glass salad bowl (as pictured). Enhances the appearance / presentation.

My family loves this recipe and requests it for every occasion. I adjusted it by omitting the onion and adding layers of cucumbers, green peppers and celery. I also adjusted the dressing by doubling the sour cream and mayo and added a couple of Tbsp. of milk to thin. To add flavor to dressing I added celery salt, garlic salt and lots of dill (all to personal taste.)

I omitted the onions, and used dill instead of basil on top, which was very tasty. Had to use more than the recommended sour cream & mayo, or the salad would have been too dry. Tasted good overall.

I changed up the cheese to Mozz, added some green peppers, and negated the Mayo. You can fill in your own ideas, but the peas and all the layers were great!!

Made this for a cookout and it was a huge hit! The whole salad was gone before any of the other side dishes. So simple to make and it's great that you can make it ahead of time! I actually forgot the bacon and cheese on the top, but it was still great!
