This is the best salad ever!!! It was fantastic and soooo beautiful! Great presentation! I chopped the fresh basil and sprinkled it directly on the peas. I didn't put the mayo/sour cream combo on the top because I'd gotten a poppyseed dressing instead. It was the best salad I've ever had and I will definitely be making it again- especially if there's a pot luck!!
Great salad, but not just a salad! Looks very yummy with all of the layers and colors and tastes yummy too! Very easy to make.
Fantastic! Really WOWed my dinner guest. Easy to make. I wasn't sure if the dressing was enough for the entire salad, but it was PERFECT. I wouldn't change a thing.
I made this salad @ my sister's bridal shower & everyone loved it! Now my family expects me to make it @ every event. I added a lil sugar in the mayo, sour cream & basil mixture & it turned out perfect!
One of the BEST salad recipes I have made. I first made it for my best friend's 30th birthday party and have made it for other occasions. It looks pretty served in a trifle bowl - and I found I can be creative with veggie layers depending on what is freshest in the garden or at farm stand! A KEEPER!!
It sounds very easy and good to make to keep from heating up the kitchen during the hot weather as well as year round for a light meal and good to keep the weight off as far as eating right.
very good and easy i made it with egg
I'm a salad lover, and this was one of the best I've tried in a while, and its a snap to fix!
This is a classic recipe which turns up at most picnics and potlucks. It is always well received. I have made it many times over the years. However, I have never made it with tomatoes as an added ingredient. I assumed the tomatoes would make the salad too wet since I make the salad hours in advance.
I used one bag of the pre-mixed salad greens which made for quick and easy preparation. I also substituted turkey bacon for reduced fat. The salad made a beautiful presentation and my family loved it. Try it - you'll love it!
