Key Lime Margarita Pie

Key Lime Margarita Pie recipe
While there’s no alcohol in this creamy frozen dessert, it sure tastes real. The hint of salt comes from the pretzel crust, while the citrus zip is in the creamy filling.

this is a great summer dessert and is easy to make.
Have made this many times for partys and is always a big hit. One problem I have is Koolaid does not sell Lemon Lime any more or at least in my area. Has anyone used just Lemon?
This pie is excellant although I made a few changes First fat free graham crust Second fat free sweetened condensed milk and third lite Cool Whip. Everyone loved and didn't no that it was lowfat.
I cannot believe those who don't like the salt in the pretzel crust and those who want to use an ordinary and boring graham cracher crust just don't get the purpose of a salted pretzel crust! It is, after all, a margarita pie. The salted pretzel crust represents the salted rim of a margarita drink glass. It is a must for this pie. That aside, this is too tart, if you just use a tablespoon or so of lime zest and the lime juice, I think it would be good also and maybe not so tart.
I loved this pie, and so did my's great for summer! What I ended up doing differently to this recipe was using two packages of Kool-aid lemonaide (my store didn't carry lemon-lime), the entire tub of cool whip, and I added a shot of tequilla to my measuring cup and added the difference in lime juice to equal the 1/2 cup called for. I tinted the mixture light green and added lime zest. It was a hit! I will definately do make again.
this was excellent on a hot day - and so simple to make!
I make this pie many times thoughout the year. My son loves it and requests it instead of cake for his birthday! I do change up the recipe and add an 8oz pkg of cream cheese and 1/3 cup of lime juice (instead of 1/2 cup)...this gives it a more creamy taste and not so tart.
Pucker up--this is one tart pie! My husband could only eat one piece, but my coworkers truly enjoyed it. My boss recommended a graham cracker or oreo crust the next time I make it. Personally, I want to make a low fat/low sugar version and see how that tastes. I'm definitely keeping this one in my box!
It was really good but I feel would be fantastic with a graham cracker crust instead
my husband absolutely loves it. i brought it to work and all my friends asked for the recipe. it was a big hit. now i'm making it again for new year;s upon request. this was so easy to make. thank you
