Key Lime Margarita Pie

While there’s no alcohol in this creamy frozen dessert, it sure tastes real. The hint of salt comes from the pretzel crust, while the citrus zip is in the creamy filling.

What You Need

1-1/4

cups crushed pretzels

1/4

cup sugar

Tbsp. butter, melted

can (14 oz.) sweetened condensed milk

1/2

cup lime juice

env. KOOL-AID Lemon-Lime Flavor Unsweetened Drink Mix

tub (8 oz.) COOL WHIP Whipped Topping, thawed, divided

Make It

MIX pretzel crumbs, sugar and butter; press onto bottom and up side of 9-inch pie plate. Refrigerate until ready to fill.

MIX next 3 ingredients in large bowl. Whisk in 2-1/2 cups COOL WHIP; pour into crust.

FREEZE 6 hours. Remove from freezer 15 min. before serving; let stand at room temperature until slightly softened. Top with remaining COOL WHIP.

DELICIOUS. I made for a party and everyone loved it! May need more butter than called for so the crust isn't too crumbly. AMAZING!

I liked it, but ... everyone else who tried it said the lime flavor was too strong. The crust was crumbling apart all over the place, and too hard. I think if I make it again, I'll grind the crust up finer, use more butter, and try to tone down the lime just a hair so that I'm not the only one who can eat it. Hmm, on second thought, maybe not.

My family and I loved this pie and I've made it twice so far. It is quick and easy. My only negative comment is that I wish it was not quite so green. I may try it without using the whole kool-aid envelope next time.
