Key Lime Margarita Pie

I made this recipe for a group of ladies and each of them wanted the recipe! I also made it for a family at church and others at church wanted the recipe as well! Excellent recipe for a margarita pie without tequila!

We have made and loved this recipe for years, but had troouble finding the Lemon-Lime KoolAid. After making a so so-key lime pie we went on a quest for the KoolAid to make this old favorite. Found it at our local Wal Mart Super store for $.20 and bought 10 packages. I'm a bit concerned it may go away again, so took the chance that actual shelf life exceeds the one marked on the package. Accept no substitutes; get the Lemon-Lime...

I used a graham cracker crust and it was so easy to make. Very good.

I use basically the same recipe but use 1 pkg. pink lemonade Kool-Aid, no juice, and a graham cracker crust. I know it isn't called Key Lime pie if there isn't any lime, but I am asked over and over for the recipe whenever I take this to a potluck. Super quick, super easy, super yummy! I definitely will continue to make this again and again!

This was delicious and refreshing. My only problem is that I could not find the lemon-lime drink mix anywhere! I used a lemonade pouch, so it lost some of its lime flavor but was still good. Any ideas where to buy the right Kool-Aid mix?

This is one of my most favorite desserts - both to serve and to eat. It is so yummy and makes an impressive presentation. The pretzel crust is distinctive with the lime - sweet and salty , thus the name "margarita". However, and I have to do this, it is great with a crust of graham cracker or oreo crumbs or I can't wait to try it with a coconut macaroon pie shell that I just discovered in the store.

this is a great summer dessert and is easy to make.

Have made this many times for partys and is always a big hit. One problem I have is Koolaid does not sell Lemon Lime any more or at least in my area. Has anyone used just Lemon?

This pie is excellant although I made a few changes First fat free graham crust Second fat free sweetened condensed milk and third lite Cool Whip. Everyone loved and didn't no that it was lowfat.

I cannot believe those who don't like the salt in the pretzel crust and those who want to use an ordinary and boring graham cracher crust just don't get the purpose of a salted pretzel crust! It is, after all, a margarita pie. The salted pretzel crust represents the salted rim of a margarita drink glass. It is a must for this pie. That aside, this is too tart, if you just use a tablespoon or so of lime zest and the lime juice, I think it would be good also and maybe not so tart.
