Key Lime Margarita Pie

While there’s no alcohol in this creamy frozen dessert, it sure tastes real. The hint of salt comes from the pretzel crust, while the citrus zip is in the creamy filling.

What You Need

1-1/4

cups crushed pretzels

1/4

cup sugar

Tbsp. butter, melted

can (14 oz.) sweetened condensed milk

1/2

cup lime juice

env. KOOL-AID Lemon-Lime Flavor Unsweetened Drink Mix

tub (8 oz.) COOL WHIP Whipped Topping, thawed, divided

Make It

MIX pretzel crumbs, sugar and butter; press onto bottom and up side of 9-inch pie plate. Refrigerate until ready to fill.

MIX next 3 ingredients in large bowl. Whisk in 2-1/2 cups COOL WHIP; pour into crust.

FREEZE 6 hours. Remove from freezer 15 min. before serving; let stand at room temperature until slightly softened. Top with remaining COOL WHIP.

EVERYONE RAVED ABOUT THE PIE. HOWEVER, NEXT TIME I MAKE IT I'M GOING TO USE THE CRUST AS A TOPPING - WILL LET YOU KNOW HOW IT TURNS OUT.

I made mine as low fat as possible, substituting fat free condensed milk and lite whipped topping. Thinking of trying to 1/2 the lime juice with actual tequilla! I was hesitant about the pretzels, BUT they seemed almost like a nut crust and went perfect, what a surprise!

I used fat-free pretzels, fat free condensed milk, and light coolwhip - and it came out great. I think this would also be great in a strawberry variety or maybe chocolate. Great recipe!

I love things made from lime and lemon. This pie is so easy and I have made it 4 times. Everyone that has a piece is as empressed as I was. I like the crunchy bits of pretzels and touch of salt. This is a real keeper.

Took this to work for our office to celebrate a birthday and everyone raved about how great it was. Several asked for the recipe. I am sure we will be seeing this one at more office parties!
