Key Lime Margarita Pie

Key Lime Margarita Pie recipe
While there’s no alcohol in this creamy frozen dessert, it sure tastes real. The hint of salt comes from the pretzel crust, while the citrus zip is in the creamy filling.

I loved this pie, and so did my guests...it's great for summer! What I ended up doing differently to this recipe was using two packages of Kool-aid lemonaide (my store didn't carry lemon-lime), the entire tub of cool whip, and I added a shot of tequilla to my measuring cup and added the difference in lime juice to equal the 1/2 cup called for. I tinted the mixture light green and added lime zest. It was a hit! I will definately do make again.

I make this pie many times thoughout the year. My son loves it and requests it instead of cake for his birthday! I do change up the recipe and add an 8oz pkg of cream cheese and 1/3 cup of lime juice (instead of 1/2 cup)...this gives it a more creamy taste and not so tart.

Pucker up--this is one tart pie! My husband could only eat one piece, but my coworkers truly enjoyed it. My boss recommended a graham cracker or oreo crust the next time I make it. Personally, I want to make a low fat/low sugar version and see how that tastes. I'm definitely keeping this one in my box!

It was really good but I feel would be fantastic with a graham cracker crust instead
