Instead of using only 2 oz of the velveeta, my fiance accidentally cut up the entire 8 oz block and put it in the skillet and it tasted WONDERFUL. I would recommend trying it with 8 oz of Velveeta to anyone! :)

This recipe sounds great and I'll be making it tonight for the whole family. I'm thinking about doing it with chicken and rice using the diced tomatoes. My family will flip over it as I have a 3 yr. old grandson that loves chicken.

I used 97% lean ground sirloin, and also added 8 oz. of basil/oregano tomato sauce at my DH's request. It came out very tasty, a little saucier than the original recipe. It is very quick and easy to make.

I haven't made this yet, but definitely will. To answer the question about substituting regular rice, I wouldn't as the cooking time would increase quite a bit.

We loved this skillet dinner. It had excellent flavor and was quite simple to make. I substituted a can of petite diced tomatoes for the fresh chopped tomatoes in the recipe. I will definitely make this dish again!

I haven't made this recipe yet; it sounds great but I just had a question: Is it possible to use regular, medium grain rice instead of the minute variety? Would the cooking time/instructions be any different? Thank you!

THE ONLY THING I DIDN'T PUT IN WAS THE BASIL AND MY FAMILY LOVED IT. QUICK AND SIMPLE MEAL.

I didn't have the Sirloin on hand, so sub'd with 1 lb. of hamburger. Added one onion and one drained can of mushrooms also. Delish! This is a keeper!
