Strawberry Cream "Cake"

Strawberry Cream "Cake" recipe
Though it looks like the diva of the dessert plate, this creamy treat doesn't ask for much. It's 15 minutes of prep, plus however long it takes for the applause to end.

My mom made this and it brought it over for a cook-out we had. Very light, refreshing dessert! She said she used regular flavored Cool Whip (Lite) and sugar-free Jello. She thought that there wasn't enough graham cracked crumbs to make a nice, thick and even crust for the bottom of the whole dessert, so she thinks adding a little more graham cracker crumbs would help. Very tasty & I asked for the recipe so I can make it too!

I found this recipe more trouble than it was worth. The strawberry margarita squares were easier to make and tastier too.

Excellent recipe! I brought this cake into the office to share and it was it hit with everyone. They continually ask me to bring it in again, and the recipe is so easy, I think I will.

I'm sorry, but I didn't see where the type of cake was used. It looks very good and I would like to make it.

It wasn't sweet enough for me, i would add some sugar to the crust and a little in the filling. The fresh strawberries made it a little on the tart side. It did have a nice flavor and it was very easy to make.

Made for a picnic and was a big hit - thought it looked complicated - but was very easy - my 1st attempt to use a springform pan - worked great.

I made it to treat my students and they loved it

I substituted Nilla Wafers for the graham crust. It worked out well. It is very refreshing. I used sugar free jello and Kool Whip Free, so that makes it lower calorie with no loss of flavor.

I am sorry, it sure was pretty however it tasted like a jello salad to me and not like a cake at all.
