Being allergic to cinnamon causes finding recipes for apple deserts almost impossible. This was a wonderful fix for my craving. If you don't like the texture, try shredding the apples in a food processor. Also, when the cake starts getting soggy, we break it up and serve it over vanilla ice cream.
PS...walnuts are a great addition to this recipe!
