Moist Caramel Apple Cake

Moist Caramel Apple Cake recipe
Inspired by a childhood favorite, this recipe reinvents the caramel apple as a cake, with fresh, tangy chopped apples baked into a treat that’s a whole lot easier to eat.

I made this cake for a family get together, in which my 88 yr old grandmother attended. She usually does not like cake. She not only liked it enough to eat the whole piece, but she asked for seconds! Now that's high praise! She has asked me to make it for many times since!

I changed this up a little by using a spice cake mix, 2 GS apples and 1 cup of raisins, then used cream cheese icing. It was very moist and delicious !!

I made the cake for Sunday dinner with my family. I personally did not mind the cake, but I think the caramel was too sweet for my taste. Everyone else liked it. I did read through other reviews and did not by the cake mix with the pudding. Would make it again with other toppings.

Liked it. Added some cinnamon to make it have more flavor. The carmel sauce didn't work well for me. Needed to cool longer. Followed the recipe and added extra time. Make sure the carmel is REALLY thick. Will make again>

This was so yummy! I used caramel ice cream topping for convenience. Really good with ice cream or just cool whip!

I was very disappointed with this cake. I used cake mix with pudding in it already so I didn't add the extra pudding. It just didn't taste very good. I greased and floured the cake pan but it still stuck, so I lost most of the top of the cake. Thankfully I didn't make this for anything special just Sunday dinner. I bought carmel sauce in a jar which was easier than melting the caramels. My kids liked the cake but I wouldn't make it again.
