Moist Caramel Apple Cake

Moist Caramel Apple Cake recipe
Inspired by a childhood favorite, this recipe reinvents the caramel apple as a cake, with fresh, tangy chopped apples baked into a treat that’s a whole lot easier to eat.

Every time I make this cake, it gets wonderful raves!!! I really enjoy baking this because it is such a huge hit with the work crowd or the church social. I noticed that some ladies are having trouble getting the cake to come out of the pan in one easy piece. It is so simple!!!! Remember to always use Baker's Joy before putting the batter in your pan. It works every time for me.

this was such a hit at a work luncheon. leave the cake in the pan a while to cool off otherwise it falls somewhat because of the weight of the apples. also try using a jar of caramel to save time and a mess of melting the caramels.

Iloved this recipe. I tweaked it tho'. I used a spice cake mix instead and used applesauce in place of the oil which cuts down ont the fat and adds more apple taste!

The bottom half came out but the top stuck in the pan. I sprayed it with pam and then floured it as directed and it had to be dug out with a knife. What a mess. Do you have any suggestions that might have caused this to happen? I have never had this happen ever with any other cake. I threw this recipe out and the cake too.

Loved this cake. We topped it with powdered sugar instead of caramel and everyone loved it. I have made it a dozen times. It's easy and travels well.

I thought this cake was absolutley delicious!!! I made it for a little dinner party, and everyone raved about it. I even dusted some powdered sugar on the cake before I added the caramel. This cake is definitely being made again!

Very good, but the cake did not have enough flavor to stand on its own. Definitely needed the caramel (and whipped topping) for flavor. I'll make it again, but if I want good old apple cake, I'll stick with my old recipe.
