Moist Caramel Apple Cake recipe
Inspired by a childhood favorite, this recipe reinvents the caramel apple as a cake, with fresh, tangy chopped apples baked into a treat that’s a whole lot easier to eat.

This cake was so easy to make. I brought it to work and everyone loved it. I will most definatly fix this again. This is rated in my book of recipes the best that I have made.

Two of my favorite kitchen words, simple and delicious. I grated my apples and used what I had at home at the time which were the Galas. Will try the Granny Smiths next. Hmmm.

This cake is delicious... when I saw the word moist I decided to try it, and it is truly moist. We loved it!! Nuts would be good either sprinkled on top or in the batter. I use solid shortening and flour in my pan - I have tried using the spray and it didn't work well for me. But, shortening works every time. The only negative comment I have is concerning the caramel topping; it was a little thin. Next time I make the cake, I think I'll start with about 2 tablespoons of milk so the glaze with be thicker.

Cake was moist, and beautiful. I received rave reviews for the cake, however, it was not my favorite, too rich for me!

I made the cake for a party last night and everyone loved the cake! So moisted and full of favor with the apples, I only used 2. I waited to put the caramel till right before serving. I can't wait to make it again.

after sharing with neighbors & co-workers, i'll need to make another one. very moist & the choice of apples was right on - they kept their texture nicely. i added a bit of cinnamon only because i can't bring myself to cook apples without it

Everyone loved this one. I cooled & stirred the toppling longer then 10 minutes so it was a little thicker. Next time I'll add some chopped pecans to the mix.
