This is my husband's absolute favorite dish! I made it for him once a few years ago and he still says that he would eat it everyday if he could!

This is my ultimate roast recipe! I don't even use the potatoes or carrots. It comes out great. I just make a pot of white rice and serve it with a vegetable. The gravy is awesome over the rice. Be sure to cook this until the gravy thickens a little and the meat is super tender!

Recipe was very easy as well as taste was very "southern". I was very surprised at the taste, my family kids and all tore it up.

My only complaint was the state of my pot afterwards! I would recommend using a non-stick pot for this dish.

THIS IS AWSOME !!! I made it once per directions. Then the next time I left out the potatoes & served it with mashed potatoes.Just add a few more carrots. That how my family prefers it.

I made this for the first time 3 days ago and I have to say that it was probably the best pot roast I have ever tasted. It has definantly replaced my old recipe and will be a family favorite for many years.

Amazing taste. Almost like saurbraten. My family loved it and it was just as good leftover. I used onions instead of celery though and we all loved it!
