This is the best pot roast I've ever made. I will make it often. We loved it and it will become a favorite meal.
This dish was delicious. My husband said it was the best pot roast he'd ever had. It was simple and came out tender and juicy. The dressing really gave it good flavor. I added green peppers and mushrooms to mine. I've already made it twice, and it's definitely a regular on our monthly menu.
Loved it! Very tender and tasty. Wasn't too sure about using a dressing but it was very good.
Before I tried this one, all of my roast were BLAH! Even my kids gobbled it up and asked for seconds! They are 5 and 6 yrs. old....pretty tough critics, too. I will definitely be making this one again. Kudos to Mary Smith, who shared her family recipe!
Great!! Easy to make and I used baby carrots, so I didn't have to cut them. Also, I used fat free Catalina dressing, which saved on calories and fat.
I've tried dozens of pot roast recipies through the years, looking for that special one to make my own. This is it! The Catalina dressing added a wonderful flavor to the potatoes and carrots and I wouldn't change a thing!
The hardest part was cutting the veggies! The Catalina dressing makes for a wonderful flavor profile.
Super easy to make, even easier to eat! If you are a fan of Pot Roast then this is a keeper! An extra bonus, the kids loved it too!
Fantastic receipe. My husband hates pot roast. At first, he thought it was brisket...that's how tender and yummy it is. I confessed afterwards and I know this recipe is a keeper.
I love roast beef. This was one of the easiest and best recipes I have ever made. The roast was so tender and the the veggies with just a touch of sweet, even my 3 and 5 year olds loved it. My mother in law could not believe I made pot roast with dressing, but after dinner she HAD to have the recipe. This recipe will be used well in my home. Thank you very much!!
