I really like the taste of the catalina dressing with the beef! I wasn't too sure about it, but it was great! Even my picky eater husband loved it! I added a can of stewed tomatoes to kick it up a little, and it was delicious!

This was great! Nice change of pace from the same ol same pot roast. Drippings were excellent and packed with flavor.

This is one of those hearty meals that my family enjoys during Wisconsin's fall and winter months. Very easy to make and the taste was great!

I made this roast for my husband. He loved it, and I ended up having to make it at the fire station the next time he was on duty. It got rave reviews from the firefighters (and my husband the second time around). This recipe is a keeper!

This ended up much better than I expected. I had my family over to eat adn everyone really enjoyed this. Although, I made a gravy without any of the pan drippings. A sweet, orange gravy is not what I was looking for. But even the veggies were good.

cooking is something i love to do, i try many different recipes, i love variety... i have numerous cookbooks that i go over and over, sometimes following the recipe, sometimes adding my own twist on things, and even using what i have learned from past recipes to create one of my own... this prarie pot roast was AWEFUL, i was not sure about it from the start just from experience of cooking, did it anyway and refused to serve it. the dressing turns everthing orange, with absolutely no flavor, luckly i was able to save the meat, i shredded that for hot roast beef w/ mashed potatoes & gravy... everything else in the pot was tossed!!!

This recipe is one of the best. I used honey french dressing instead of catalina (same results). It was flavorable and most of all very tender. I was impressed and it was a hit with my family.
