What You Need

cup PLANTERS Creamy Peanut Butter

1/2

cup sugar

egg

pkg. (4 oz.) BAKER'S Semi-Sweet Chocolate

1/2

cup finely chopped PLANTERS Unsalted COCKTAIL Peanuts

Make It

HEAT oven to 325°F.

MIX peanut butter, sugar and egg until blended. Refrigerate 30 min. Roll into 18 balls. Place, 3 inches apart, on baking sheets. Flatten each ball, in crisscross pattern, with fork.

BAKE 18 to 20 min. or until lightly browned. Cool on baking sheets 5 min. Remove to wire racks; cool completely.

MELT chocolate as directed on package. Partially dip cookies in chocolate; gently shake off excess chocolate. Dip cookies in nuts; place on parchment- or waxed paper-covered baking sheet. Refrigerate until chocolate is firm.

I have my own recipe from the Betty Crocker Cookbook 6th printing of October 1976. I am going to make some cookies as my late wife used to do and If I can omit the chockolate and peanuts the current recipe you have is much simpler and easier to use.

These are so delicious,and it makes a great token of appreciation for someone. I made them to put in christmas tins for my nephew and cousin and even the Minister of music at my church. I tip my hat to you on this one.
