Deep-Dish Chicken Pot Pie

This player is created by Blackwell Team for testing.
video by: kraft
A flaky crust surrenders to a warm veggie-and-chicken mixture infused with a savory sauce. Even better, this makeover is smarter than the classic version. Dig deep.

This is excellent. This was very tasty and easy to make. My children love it. I've made this several times now. I did add 1/2 cup of condensed cream of chicken soup with the chicken broth and UM UM UM..GOOD!! This ones a keeper!!

I don't know if I can rate THIS recipe per se. I took it as a basis: I liked that it used cream cheese. But I doctored it up significantly: I added mushrooms, finely chopped onions, and potatoes (no vegetables as my husband doesn't like them). I also seasoned it with garlic and tarragon. I did not add flour as potatoes provided the necessary thickening. I made it earlier in the day and let it sit to thicken and to mix flavors. Then I baked it. It is superb and was fun and easy to make.

This is so easy...my family loved it! I have even made it ahead of time so that my husband can just pop it in the oven on nights I work late.

Excellent!! I used leftover turkey so I increased the broth to 3/4 cup. It took a little longer than 30 minutes...about 40 minutes for the crust to cook.
