This was a great variation on chicken! I made it for my parents while they visited. Even my dad, who doesn't like anything "fruity", ate every bit of it. Everyone loved it. Next time I will make more sauce and use a bit more italian dressing to cut the sweetness a little.
I thought that the combination of ingredients sounded odd, but perhaps could be good together. I was mistaken. This is one of the worst recipes I have ever tried.
My husband really liked this I made it 2 weeks ago and he has already asked for it again.
The taste combinations did not go well together at all. I couldn't even take more than a few bites of this horrible meal.
My husband and I really enjoyed this recipe. I think that it would be great made with chicken wings as a football snack. It is best to eat it all at one meal. I took leftovers to work the next day and it wasn't as good reheated.
My family like this recipe a lot. My husband is a picky eater and he even said it was good and I should make it again. The apples and onions were delicious and gave the chicken a great flavor! I added a little honey with the maple syrup. I used Kraft's fat free italian, too. Next time I would probably use a little more maple syrup then the recipe called for.
It reminded me of sweet and sour chicken. If you like sweet and sour chicken you should love this. Very, very good and I'm picky.
The dressing and spice did not stick with the food, I thought it was very bland. I would not make this again, my family didn't like it either.
What attracted me to this recipe was that it only required 5 ingredients to make. It was very simple to make as well as very flavorful and delicious! The apple vs. onion taste made it very intresting. Definitely adding this to my recipe box!
I made this recipe on our grill and individually foil wrapped each serving. The chicken was very tender and the syrup and dressing made a wonderful glaze. Most important, the kids liked it! If you choose to make this on your grill, place the chicken on a baking sheet and place on the top rack to avoid over cooking. :)
