I was really skeptical when I read the ingredients but this dish was fabulous. Sweet but not icky sweet. Pair it with something savory like Stove Top Stuffing and a salad of tossed greens, pecans, pears, feta cheese and light raspberry vinegrette to balance out the sweetness. Also recommend using real maple syrup rather than bottled pancake syrup. I used granny smith apples.

Wonderful! My husband loved this dish and he doesn't care for maple syrup on anything but pancakes.

My family said it was a keeper. I just used regular pancake syrup but would think it would be even better with pure maple syrup. I also used the syrup/italian dressing to marinate pork chops. Very good.

So delicious! I didn't have any apples, which was upsetting, but I plan to make this recipe again with apples.

This recipe was so tasty and easy! I doubled the sauce because that's the best part. I will be making this again for my family and friends.

Easy to make and a great flavor. I halved the recipe and used a Gala apple and white onion.

So I wasn't quite sure about italian dressing mixing with syrup. BUT let me tell you this dish was delishious! I cook for 2 so i just down the chicken, but kept the amount of apples and onions (i used purple onions) the same, for the sauce i used 1/3cup italian and 1/4cup maple syrup. My boyfriend who never goes up for seconds, went up for seconds and poured the syrup/dressing allover the rice and other veggies i cooked. Plus he ate fruit! Another rarity! I will definitely make this again! It's the perfect amount of tangy sweetness! I chose to use Fugi apples also.
