I am making another batch right now! Even the kids at school loved them... I did almonds for the first batch and now I'll try it with walnuts. Apricot is my fave and I also did blackberry and raspberry without the seeds. Makes it very kid friendly. The teachers and PTO pres. wanted the recipe! I'm sure pecan is good too - just didn't have them on hand.

Wonderful! Made them for a party, and they were gobbled up:) These are the best thumbprint cookies I've ever had. Yum! Raspberry is my fave.

Made a few dozen for a wedding, they were all gone! I made them just a tad smaller than 1" balls, they bake pretty big.

Maybe since I'm not a seasoned baker this was my mistake because I've seen no other such comments. Do NOT fill with too much preserves! You will have an overflowed preserve sticky mess when they come out of the oven. Still taste yummy....just don't look so great.

I found that baking them twice for 8 to 10 minutes was too long & made them hard. Finished baking the 2nd batch on about 10 to 12 minutes & were much better
