I'd like to add- if you make these, refrigerate overnight. Set out in the morning, then cut them in the afternoon. Then, they will not crack as mentioned in another comment. This recipe is easy and quick for a last minute night before invitation!

I made these bars to bring to a picnic. When I went to cut them, they cracked up into strange shapes...they were very difficult to cut. I ended up having to bring something different because they look so bad! They tasted good, but I wouldn't make them again.

What a wonderful suprise, these are the best. I made one batch and then made another one to give to my grandchildren, I am going to make these for halloween hand outs. Thanks again for this recipe

I love making quick and easy treats for the kids to have for snacks and or for class treats. This recipe was simple and quick with a delicous result, two thumbs up!

I loved this recipe! I made it in an 8x11 pan to have thicker squares. Also, I didn't have any baking chocolate on hand, so just used 12 oz. of semi-sweet chocolate chips. Turned out great. I had to freeze some for a couple of days to keep my family from eating them all!

I have made this for YEARS. I have always added 1/2 cup of peanut butter to the melted chocolate top layer.

I tried this recipe out on my family and they loved it due to the fact that they are chocolate and peanut butter lovers they thought that this was the best that i have ever made and i'll make it again. i took some over for my girl friends family could try and they all loved it too. as my family would say 10 thumbs up mom! make it again.
