What You Need

NILLA Wafers, divided

1-1/4

cups sugar, divided

1/4

cup margarine or butter, melted

pkg. (8 oz. each) PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese, softened

1/2

cup BREAKSTONE'S or KNUDSEN Sour Cream

tsp. vanilla

eggs

KRAFT Caramels

Tbsp. milk

1/2

cup chopped PLANTERS Pecans, toasted

Make It

HEAT oven to 325°F.

CRUSH 50 wafers finely; mix with 1/4 cup sugar and margarine. Press onto bottom of 9-inch springform pan. Stand remaining wafers around edge, pressing gently into crust to secure.

BEAT cream cheese and remaining sugar in large bowl with mixer until well blended. Add sour cream and vanilla; mix well. Add eggs, 1 at a time, beating on low speed after each just until blended. Pour over crust.

BAKE 45 to 50 min. or until center is almost set. Run small knife around rim of pan to loosen cake; cool before removing rim. Refrigerate 4 hours. Microwave caramels and milk on HIGH 1 min. or until caramels are completely melted, stirring every 30 sec. Cool slightly. Pour over cheesecake; top with nuts.

Prepare recipe as directed in 13x9-inch pan, increasing Nilla Wafers around edge to 22. Bake 40 to 45 min. or until center is almost set.

If using a dark nonstick springform pan, reduce oven temperature to 300°F.

I also served this at Thanksgiving and everyone raved about it!! It was beautiful they asked where I bought it from!!! I am serving again at christmas!

This was one of the best cheesecakes I have ever made! I served it for Thanksgiving and everyone raved about it. The Nilla crust is a nice change from the regular graham crust and the topping is delicious!!! This will definetely become a regular holiday dessert in my household.

I made this for a luncheon and the guests could not wait for the topping. They thought it was fantastic. Cannot wait to make it at Christmas!!!! Every recipe I experimented with was wonderful. I have never had a magazine that had so many great recipes that I actually tried them immediately. If you continue on this caliber, I will be raving to my friends!!!!

I have only made this twice, and it is gone in less than 30 minutes. It is a really really big hit. This is my all time favorite cheesecake recipe overall. Thanks Kraft!

This cheesecake was simple to make and simply delicious. I made it for the Thanksgiving Holidays and my only reget was I only had one serving. My family truly enjoyed this one.

Made this recipe for Husbands company Christmas dinner, 13 x 9 pan all was gone in 30 minutes. everyone asking for the recipe. Comment; If using pure Vanilla only used have of what was recommended Thanks to you I have a new great favorite

I thought this recipe was wonderful!! I read other ratings before I made it that said the caramel got too hard so I used caramel ice cream topping instead and that worked really well... everyone loved it!

Made this for Thanksgiving this year for the pastor and his family. It was a huge hit! Rich and yummy! Be sure and keep cold or the caramel will run over the sides. Looks JUST like the picture!
