This recipe looks great and I'm going to make it tonight. In response to the comment mentioning the high sodium content, look where it's coming from. Cheese, which provides a lot of calcium, and salsa which you can substitute for a low sodium brand.

Altho it sounds delicious, not only is it very high in sodium, it's also extremely high in fat and calories even with the lower fat products.

I made homemade salsa in my food processor, and used jalapenos. This dish was very good...I also made corn bread muffins to go along with this easy, and in my case spicey dish.

This recipe is very unhealthy; the sodium level is extremely high.

I made this for my family. My 3 yr old loved it and my husband had seconds. I did add some cumin and chili powder just for extra flavor. This will be a favorite in our family!

Just a note. Our family has been making this for years. When my children were small, working didn't leave alot of time for cooking. They loved Kraft Mac n Cheese, so....it was a logical easy choice. We used jars of spaghetti sauce with the macaroni, or jars of chili, dennisons or whomever. The kids loved it we called it chili mac. Just an old favorite as far as we are concerned!

Like a good movie, supper was based on this recipe. I like okra so I added about 1/2 cup sliced okra and about 5 or 6 hot red peppers, sliced. I didn't have the dinner so I used whole wheat noodles and chuncked up velveeta. mmmm mmmm good.

What I liked was that only one pan to wash and it tasted good as well

just a suggestion how about cutting down on the sodium intake of this recipe by eliminating the kraft boxed mac and cheese and use regular pasta with kraft shredded cheese or even using the cheese in a jar and spooning it through the hot pasta. i'm sure it'll cut down the sodium to a decent number alot lower that 1500.

Made for my husband and his friends and they loved it. I used the regular Mac & Cheese dinner (not the Deluxe) and canned corn and it turned out fine.
