PHILLY Brownie Cheesecake

What You Need

pkg. (19 to 21 oz.) brownie mix (13x9-inch pan size)

pkg. (8 oz. each) PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese, softened

cup sugar

tsp. vanilla

1/2

cup BREAKSTONE'S or KNUDSEN Sour Cream

eggs

oz. BAKER'S Semi-Sweet Chocolate

Make It

HEAT oven to 325°F.

PREPARE brownie batter as directed on package; pour into 13x9-inch pan sprayed with cooking spray. Bake 25 min. or until top is shiny and center is almost set.

MEANWHILE, beat cream cheese, sugar and vanilla in large bowl with mixer until well blended. Add sour cream; mix well. Add eggs, 1 at a time, mixing on low speed after each just until blended. Gently pour over brownie layer in pan. (Filling will come almost to top of pan.)

BAKE 40 min. or until center is almost set. Run knife around rim of pan to loosen sides; cool. Refrigerate 4 hours.

MELT chocolate as directed on package; drizzle over cheesecake. Refrigerate 15 min. or until chocolate is firm.

great recipe, works great in a cheesecake pan too, just need to cook a little longer.

This was my first attempt at making anything cheesecake related!! I made these for the office and everyone at work loved them! My only issue was slicing it up without making a huge mess...

taste great. had some problems while cutting (did not let it cool enough) but it tastes very good.

Excellent recipe - loved by all. I cut them into 32 pieces, but everyone just ate 2 (or more) which came out to 16 servings. Very easy. To everyone having problems with brownie, try a different pan or brand of brownie mix. My foil did not stick to brownie, but will skip next time.

WAS VERY RICH. HAD PROBLEMS WITH THE BROWNIE STICKING TO THE FOIL EVEN THOUGH I SPRAYED THE FOIL WITH COOKING SPRAY, BUT WAS VERY GOOD.

Can someone help me with this recipe? I've made it twice but it never has turned out right--the brownie portion is always too soft and gets pushed to the edges by the cream cheese mixture before cooking, even after cooking the brownie longer than the recipe instructs. Any ideas for better results?

I kicked it up a notch by also adding caramel and toasted pecans on top with the chocolate to make it "Turtle brownie cheesecake"! It was heavenly!
