PHILLY Brownie Cheesecake

What You Need

pkg. (19 to 21 oz.) brownie mix (13x9-inch pan size)

pkg. (8 oz. each) PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese, softened

cup sugar

tsp. vanilla

1/2

cup BREAKSTONE'S or KNUDSEN Sour Cream

eggs

oz. BAKER'S Semi-Sweet Chocolate

Make It

HEAT oven to 325°F.

PREPARE brownie batter as directed on package; pour into 13x9-inch pan sprayed with cooking spray. Bake 25 min. or until top is shiny and center is almost set.

MEANWHILE, beat cream cheese, sugar and vanilla in large bowl with mixer until well blended. Add sour cream; mix well. Add eggs, 1 at a time, mixing on low speed after each just until blended. Gently pour over brownie layer in pan. (Filling will come almost to top of pan.)

BAKE 40 min. or until center is almost set. Run knife around rim of pan to loosen sides; cool. Refrigerate 4 hours.

MELT chocolate as directed on package; drizzle over cheesecake. Refrigerate 15 min. or until chocolate is firm.

This was definetly a crowd pleaser. I made it for our Super Bowl party and everyone wanted a piece. It's very rich, so it's definetly a once in a while dessert. The only problem was that the brownies on the bottom were a little tough. Next time, I will bake them less at teh beginning to keep them softer.

I used fudge brownie and made sure I didn't overcook - it was perfect: sweet & creamy. The firmness of the cheesecake and the moist brownie complement each other. I drizzled with melted chocolate and topped with red & green sprinkles to give it a holiday look.

I love it, love it, love it!!! I made this to take to my husbands boat (he is in the Coast Guard) and they absolutely loved it. I'm always getting requests for this recipe

I made this last year for my family's super bowl party and my younger brother now begs me to bring these brownies to all of our family functions. I did do the option of adding in the chocolate chips to the cheesecake mixture - a superb touch!

I made this recipe for a Thanksgiving pot luck. It was really great. The brownie part came out perfectly, and the cheesecake mixture tasted really good also. Everyone loved this desert. It's really simple to make with a great tasting results.

Me and the family love this recipe. The brownies turn out moist. The layers of cheesecake adn brownie are great together two of my fav. together in one. How can you not love it. I would recommend this to everyone.

I thought this was really good!!! Everyone loved this so much, and I make it all the time! You need to make sure that you don't overbake the brownie part otherwise it'll be hard. You just have to watch it. This is something I would recommend!!

I have made this dessert a couple of times...it definitely doesnt turn out like the photo. However, I end up somewhat mixing the brownie part with the cheesecake, creating a swirl effect. Its difficult to get the brownie to set right without making it hard as a rock. Everyone always seems to love them regardless!
