I make a very similar recipe using Russian dressing, a whole jar of apricot preserves and onion soup mix and everyone loves it. I don't like apricots but the combination just works. Yum

I have made this recipe many times and it's always a "hit" with my husband. I use boneless, skinless thighs and serve with a rice dish. Excellent recipe as written and very easy to make.

Love it, and have tried seveeral different dressings. And, since I live in the cherry capitol of the world, I used homemade cherry salsa and added slivered almonds instead of the onion soup mix. Also cooked it in slow cooker since i was busy doing other things too, and this kept oven free.

I've been making this chicken dish for years (long before it showed up here) and absolutely love it. It's super tasty and easy! I usually serve it over rice.

I have been making a similar recipe for years, only using Currant Jelly instead of cranberry sauce. My daughter asks for it all the time!

This was extremely easy and delicious. I did not use the packet of onion mix, but I still found it to be good. There was a lot of sauce left over. I served the chicken on rice and added the remaining sauce on top, everyone loved it and wanted more.

This was delicious even though I overcooked it. Next time if I don't over cook, it will probably get a 5.

I have been making a similar reciper for over 15 years and have never received a negative response. I have even made it for company. I use Kraft Russian (red in color) dressing and omit the onion soup (several in my family don't like onions - even tho' they are dried). I also use chicken tenders and only bake for about 25 - 30 minutes I serve it with wide egg noodles and spoon the sauce over the noodles. Absolutely delicious. Would give it ten stars if I could simply for the ease of making it.

This recipe had four and a half stars when I found it. I have made so many things from this site rated at 4-5 stars and my family has liked/loved all of them. I assumed that this would go over just as well with such a high rating. WRONG! This was awful. None of us liked it...not me, not my husband, not our three kids. It had such a bitter flavor. I have no idea how any of the other reviewers gave this a positive rating. Needless to say, we will never make this again. Such a disappointment!

Delicious and can't wait to make it again! I also might try the sauce with meatballs. Have a feeling it would be great!
