I was very hesitant to make this because the ingredients seemed strange but it was really good and everyone liked it. I agree with other comments that putting a bottom crust makes it more appealing. Using sharp cheddar is better I think, and add a little cooking sherry to make it more applealing to adults. Enjoy!
This was very good. You know it is good when there are no left overs! I will make this a regular in our house.
We all really enjoyed this recipe. Although I added a bottom crust, it still came out of the pan easily and the consisitency was easy to manage(not too soupy). Even my finicky eater had seconds!
My husband was not real sure of this recipe when I first told him about it. He said he would try it. Well, we have another keeper. It tasted wonderful and I was impressed that it came out of the pie pan so easily. With a salad, it was a great meal. We will have this again.
This was very fast and easy to make. We used a 9 inch deep dish pie crust on the bottom and the ready to use crust for the top. I also added some leftover gravy to the mix. We did use light Miracle Whip. Without the added gravy it might have been too sweet - there was a hint of sweetness to the pot pie but my 3 yr. old and 5 yr. old loved it and so did I!
Kids love this. Sauce is tangy- nice change of pace. Super easy.
This was a hit with my family! They loved it so much that we have it very often. You can just taste the cheese in it and I think that is what makes it good!
I had leftover chicken that I used for the turkey. I used what ever vegetables I had on hand (carrots, corn and potatoes), and I used mayo instead of miracle whip. This was a really delicious recipe which my family really enjoyed.
This is one of the best recipes out there for pot pie. I will always make sure I have a large turkey for Thanksgiving so I can freeze the leftovers and make pot pie throughout the winter. My very picky husband really likes this too!!! When reheating the leftover pot pie it is best to use the oven.
I tried chicken with this recipe and it was absolutely delicious! I was suprised how wonderful the flavor was compared to using cream soup!
