I really liked this recipe, although I admit I fudged it a bit. For the carnivores in the family, I used only one pound (16 oz. package) of broccoli and added one pound of chicken breast meat instead. I used breast tenderloin, but you could easily use thigh meat or even leftover chicken or turkey if at hand. If using fresh chicken, saute the meat in margarine or butter with a little sea salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Also, I pre-cooked the broccoli according to microwave directions for 5 minutes before adding to remaining ingredients. (I was really glad I did. The broccoli was perfect and would have been way too cruchy without pre-cooking.) Soup and cheeses blended perfectly for one of the best tasting sauces I've had in awhile. The only faux pas I made was assuming that phyllo pastry was the same as "puff" pastry. I don't think it is so that was an interesting twist. Family loved the meal though, and we'll definitely make it again. Thanks Kraft for inspiring me!
