I love this recipe. The cake is absolutely wonderful. I have made this with and without the candy canes. If you do use the candy canes, put them on just before serving so they don't start to "melt" in the fridge.

this was such a hit at my fiances family party!! It was so simple to make and people thought it took me hours.... To make it look a bit more "proffessional" I used three 8" pie pans. The three layers make it look so good!!!

of course mine didnt turn out as pretty as theirs, but I bet it tasted just as good. Used the adding peppermint extract to the cake too from another rating. I enjoyed this cake very much.

We thought this cake was the best we ever had. We have made 5 times, its great for the Hoildays. Its also good for non Hoildays. We had even made it with Chocolate Cool Wipp for the frosting. You shouldn't decorate untill you are ready to serve. We also used hole mini candy cane to decorate bottom of the cake.

You can weight with this one but at least with the pepperment your sure to have nice freah minty breath =-)
