Made this cake during holidays. Did a variation with icing, Added cream cheese and a hint of mint to icing. A big hit at the Christmas party!

I make this recipe every year for Christmas...one year I forgot and my husbands family never let me forget it again! Don't be surprised; the batter is very thick, but the cake is very moist and flavorful.

I made this for Christmas Eve's dinner and it was wonderful!!! The cake itself was extremely moist and rich. I'll put it this way I did not have any left overs, jsut a cake dish!!!

Working full time and having a large family doesn't give me a lot of time to spend on fancy cooking. This cake was not only beautiful and delicious - but very simple to make. Since we all love peppermint as well as chocolate, I sprinked the entire top of the cake with the crushed candy canes. And, it was devoured by the kids and adults alike! This was my first "Kraftfoods.com" recipe - now I can't wait to try another one!

Made this for a Christmas party... everyone LOVED it! I used peppermints extract and chopped up Andies mints instead of candy canes!

I made this recipe for my brother's open house party when he finished his master's degree. Approximately 60 people were in and out through the day and they all loved this cake! There wasn't a bite left!

It was actually very good with the Cool Whip! I used 1tsp peppermint extract in the cake instead of the crushed candy canes. For decorating I used the "soft" candy cane sticks since they crushed pretty easily and still looked pretty. Would definitely make it again.

I bake constantly for the guys here that I work with. I stopped baking because believe it or not in my first pregnancy the smell of cakes made me really sick to my stomach. But I am looking forward to getting back into it ... I miss it
