pkg. (13x9-inch pan size) brownie mix

pkg. (8 oz. each) PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese, softened

cup sugar

tsp. vanilla

1/2

cup BREAKSTONE'S or KNUDSEN Sour Cream

eggs

squares BAKER'S Semi-Sweet Chocolate, melted, cooled slightly

Make It

PREHEAT oven to 325°F. Line 13x9-inch baking pan with foil, with ends of foil extending over sides of pan; grease foil. Prepare brownie batter as directed on package; pour into prepared pan. Bake 18 to 20 min. or until top of brownie is shiny and center is almost set.

MEANWHILE, beat cream cheese, sugar and vanilla in large bowl with electric mixer on medium speed until well blended. Add sour cream; mix well. Add eggs, one at a time, mixing on low speed after each addition just until blended. Spoon over partially baked brownie batter in pan. (Filling will come almost to top of pan.)

BAKE 40 min. or until center is almost set. Run knife or metal spatula around rim of pan to loosen cake; cool completely. Refrigerate 4 hours or overnight. Let stand at room temperature 30 min. before serving. Lift cheesecake from pan, using foil handles. Drizzle with chocolate; let stand until chocolate is firm. Cut into 16 bars to serve. Store leftover cheesecake in refrigerator.

I made it three times this weekend and everyone loved it. The brownie will not be completely done, it will be moist (very moist) and if the cheesecake mixture does not just pour out of the bowl you did not let the cream cheese set out long enough. I will make this over and over again.

I did not like this recipe at all, the brownie on the bottom didnt cook all the way through, i even cooked it longer than it said. it ended up sticking to the foil and burning on the bottom. and the cheesecake , i kept it in the oven 15 min. less than the time it called for and it burnt the whole top of the cheesecake. i wouldnt reccomend this recipe.

This was a mess. I wish I had read the comments before I started it. I went to spoon the cream cheese on top of the brownie and it pushed the unbaked brownie to sides, making a hole. I couldn't spread the cream cheese around as it pushed the brownie batter more. It definitely needs more bake time on the brownies before adding the cream cheese on top.

I cooked the brownie dough longer than the recipe called for and it still ended up uncooked in the middle. The foil stuck to the bottom. It was a mess.

I made this dessert for a Christmas party and everyone seemed to like it. If I was going to make this again I wouldn't use the foil, it ended up sticking to the bottom of the brownies. Also I added more vanilla for taste. I would recommend cooking the brownies for about 18-20 minutes intead of 15. Didn't look as nice as the picture but tasted good.

I made this for our office Christmas party. Not only did people note how attractive it was, but they loved the way it tasted. I had to cook the brownie a bit more than the recipe called for, but over all this recipe is very good.

Easy and quick. Followed directions in book for topping w/ chocolate and the dessert looked as though I had purchased from a bakery. Everyone loved it.

I made this for thanksgiving and my entire family loved it. when the dessert ran out they were a bit upset. The best thing of all was that i also made it my own by adding a few special things that would make it taste better for me but overall i would say this was a great sucess. a new thanksgiving dessert tradition

It tasted very good but the cheesecake didnt really stay with the brownie and overall it didnt look very good or turn out that well.

Tasted great, brownie needed to be cooked longer,why not use parchment paper instead of foil, or better yet, why not a spring load round pan?
