pkg. (13x9-inch pan size) brownie mix

pkg. (8 oz. each) PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese, softened

cup sugar

tsp. vanilla

1/2

cup BREAKSTONE'S or KNUDSEN Sour Cream

eggs

squares BAKER'S Semi-Sweet Chocolate, melted, cooled slightly

Make It

PREHEAT oven to 325°F. Line 13x9-inch baking pan with foil, with ends of foil extending over sides of pan; grease foil. Prepare brownie batter as directed on package; pour into prepared pan. Bake 18 to 20 min. or until top of brownie is shiny and center is almost set.

MEANWHILE, beat cream cheese, sugar and vanilla in large bowl with electric mixer on medium speed until well blended. Add sour cream; mix well. Add eggs, one at a time, mixing on low speed after each addition just until blended. Spoon over partially baked brownie batter in pan. (Filling will come almost to top of pan.)

BAKE 40 min. or until center is almost set. Run knife or metal spatula around rim of pan to loosen cake; cool completely. Refrigerate 4 hours or overnight. Let stand at room temperature 30 min. before serving. Lift cheesecake from pan, using foil handles. Drizzle with chocolate; let stand until chocolate is firm. Cut into 16 bars to serve. Store leftover cheesecake in refrigerator.

Use HEavy-Duty Foil... Cut 18-inch length foil and fold lengthwise to 8-inch width. Fit foil into length of 13- by 9-inch baking dish, pushing it into corners and up sides of pan; allow excess to overhang pan edges. Cut 14-inch length foil and, if using extra-wide foil, fold lengthwise to 12-inch width; fit into width of baking pan in same manner, perpendicular to first sheet. Spray foil-lined pan with nonstick cooking spray. made brownies from scratch - turned out great! - but this recipe requires patience!

I had a number of problems with this recipe and was very disappointed with the result. First of all, the cheesecake layer lacked flavor. I think it needs more sugar or less cream cheese( I've never used so much cream cheese in any cheesecake recipe). My other biggest problem was that the layers really didn't stick together! Overall I thought that the bars were flavorless and not worth the calories. Recipe went in the garbage.

I made this cheesecake for a girls poker night and everyone loved it and it goes a long way so i had enough for everyone to take home a plate, if you like chocolate and cheescake then this is like heaven

I made this for my sister because she begged me to make her a cheesecake i saw the recipe and decied to try it!Turns out it isfabulous everyone absolutely loved it and they ate it all in 2 days this is by far my favorite cheesecake

I used a fudge brownie mix by Betty Crocker. I did every thing according to your recipie but everyone at my Christmas Party had trouble gettifng it out of the pan. The lower layer stuck to the foil. Any suggestions?

I made this for my husband's holiday party. They came out great. I also agree with some of the other comments. Cook the brownies for a little less time and mine didn't look like the picture either. It might be a good idea to cut them while they are warm. Mine did not look like the picture either. Everyone liked them and a lady that my husband works with asked for the recipe.

I read many of previous ratings and comments and just had to make this for my own experience (not mention the fact that two of my favorite desserts are combined into one). It was a hit! I followed the recipe directions but should have baked the brownies for about only half of the time that the brownie box called for. I baked it for approx. 18 minutes...nevertheless, it was a hit at work. I ended up giving it to my co-worker for his birthday cake. He shared it among many of us and they all were very pleased! It will be made again!

I made this recipe just to see how good it was. It was sooooo good! I brought some to my next door neighbor who had visitors over and they were fighting over it. One said that she wanted to buy the ingredients for me to make her a whole pan. Between myself, my husband and our three kids, it didn't last very long. I am a full time student and we are having a christmas party tomorrow, we have to bring a dish. Guess what I'm making. I know they will love it. Nothing I cut ever comes out looking like the pictures, the chocolate didn't come out in straight lines, they were itty bitty circles, but the taste is so great, no one cares what it looks like.

I also made this recipe and found the brownie bottom to be extremely hard. Although the cheesecake portion was very good. It did not turn out like the picture at all.
