pkg. (13x9-inch pan size) brownie mix

pkg. (8 oz. each) PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese, softened

cup sugar

tsp. vanilla

1/2

cup BREAKSTONE'S or KNUDSEN Sour Cream

eggs

squares BAKER'S Semi-Sweet Chocolate, melted, cooled slightly

Make It

PREHEAT oven to 325°F. Line 13x9-inch baking pan with foil, with ends of foil extending over sides of pan; grease foil. Prepare brownie batter as directed on package; pour into prepared pan. Bake 18 to 20 min. or until top of brownie is shiny and center is almost set.

MEANWHILE, beat cream cheese, sugar and vanilla in large bowl with electric mixer on medium speed until well blended. Add sour cream; mix well. Add eggs, one at a time, mixing on low speed after each addition just until blended. Spoon over partially baked brownie batter in pan. (Filling will come almost to top of pan.)

BAKE 40 min. or until center is almost set. Run knife or metal spatula around rim of pan to loosen cake; cool completely. Refrigerate 4 hours or overnight. Let stand at room temperature 30 min. before serving. Lift cheesecake from pan, using foil handles. Drizzle with chocolate; let stand until chocolate is firm. Cut into 16 bars to serve. Store leftover cheesecake in refrigerator.

Hi, I would just like to know if previous bakers used the brownie mix for a 13x9 pan, or the smaller boxed mix. I'm making this for Thanksgiving, and I can already taste it, it sounds so good. Your comments would be greatly appreciated! thank you

I baked it as stated, however, the bottom was like still batter :(

What about using half a cake mix on the bottom instead of brownie mix since it can over cook very fast

Made this brownie for a girls night in and everyone loved it!!! The bottom of the brownie was a little dry and I do not think i had the right utensils to cut the finished product, but this is still the best tasting cheesecake/brownie yet!!!

I made this recipe for the second time. absolutely awesome. I placed the the pan on the middle rack. This should help with the problems in cooking the brownie. After refrigerating overnight, we drizzled the chocolate on, sprayes whipcream on top. WOW!!!! If you like you like chocolate and cheesecake, this is a winner!!!!!

I made this recipe for a baby shower this weekend and followed the recipe exactly. I had excellent results. I even cut the pieces into small squares and they were perfect two bite treats. I was a little worried after reading some of the comments, but I was very pleased with the results. I did bake them in one of those Pampered Chef Stone pans instead of a metal pan which I think helped from overcooking the brownies.

I made this recipe last week. I was going to bring it to work but it went into the garbage instead. The recipe didn't tell me to cool the brownies first... before pouring the cheese case mixture on top. The brownies were still warm and the mixture was heavy causing the brownies to slide under the pressure. I thought I salvaged them pretty good and cooked the cheese case anyway. But... the brownie underneath was like sticky half cooked fudge and couldn't be removed from the pan. I tried cutting the pieces, then freezing the entire pan, but that didn't work either. There was no rescueing them. What a waste of ingredients! I will probably make this again, but I will certainly cool the brownie first. Too bad that wasn't part of the recipe.

I tried this recipe even after reading the ratings/comments and I also had trouble with the bottom of the brownies over cooking while the rest of the brownie was not cooked enough. The cheesecake topping was good though.

I took this to a pot-luck and it was a big hit, Everyone really liked it. I would have given it a 4, but it was really a pain to make.I followed the instructions pefectly, but it is very hard to spread thick cheescake batter on semi-cooked brownies. Aslo cutting them was a bit tricky and sticky. Overall they looked great and everone loved them, so still a success.

OH MY GOSH, IF I LOVE CHEESE CAKE THEN I MUST LOVE THIS CAKE EVEN THOUGH I HAVEN'T HAD IT!
