pkg. (13x9-inch pan size) brownie mix

pkg. (8 oz. each) PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese, softened

cup sugar

tsp. vanilla

1/2

cup BREAKSTONE'S or KNUDSEN Sour Cream

eggs

squares BAKER'S Semi-Sweet Chocolate, melted, cooled slightly

Make It

PREHEAT oven to 325°F. Line 13x9-inch baking pan with foil, with ends of foil extending over sides of pan; grease foil. Prepare brownie batter as directed on package; pour into prepared pan. Bake 18 to 20 min. or until top of brownie is shiny and center is almost set.

MEANWHILE, beat cream cheese, sugar and vanilla in large bowl with electric mixer on medium speed until well blended. Add sour cream; mix well. Add eggs, one at a time, mixing on low speed after each addition just until blended. Spoon over partially baked brownie batter in pan. (Filling will come almost to top of pan.)

BAKE 40 min. or until center is almost set. Run knife or metal spatula around rim of pan to loosen cake; cool completely. Refrigerate 4 hours or overnight. Let stand at room temperature 30 min. before serving. Lift cheesecake from pan, using foil handles. Drizzle with chocolate; let stand until chocolate is firm. Cut into 16 bars to serve. Store leftover cheesecake in refrigerator.

I had a hard time trying to get the brownie from sticking to the foil. I'll make this again and try it with non-stick foil instead.

WOW!!!! My wife made this and it's an instant classic. She took someone's advice and used the non-stick foil and made sure the brownies were almost done before adding the cheesecake on top. The sweetness of the brownies balances with the sour of the cheesecake. I love her all the more for her baking prowess. Wives out there---make it for your man and feel the love this recipe will get you!!!!

I will make this again, in a spring form pan. It was very hard to separate from the foil. My decorative strips also cracked while cutting, I would score the pieces, before letting it set. It was loved, by those that love cheesecake and chocloate. Jan

My family loves this dessert! It was voted new holiday dessert by our family members! Thanks for the recipe! PS. Yes you do have to cook the brownie a little longer than it calls for, other than that, fantastic!!!

Made this for Christmas dessert for my in law's party. It was a huge success. Very easy to make of you can follow directions. I made the chewy brownies on the box not the cake brownies. Everyone liked this so much it has been reqested for the next get together.

I made this for Christmas and followed the instructions to the "T" but when we sat down ready to have it, we realized that the centre of the cake was not baked fully.. We therefore had to put it back in the oven and for about another 30 minutes and then after that let is cool, etc. and then it was a blast.. everyone love it.. next time I will cook it longer.. how can you tell if the centre is cooked next time.. any suggestions?

Was disappointed with results although they tasted wonderful. Brownie crust separated while removing from foil liner. Did not make a pretty visual display.

I made this recipe for christmas Eve.Was I dissapointed! Cheesecake crumbled and fell apart as did the chocolate drizzle.I paid alot of money to make this and would not make it again.very disatisfied

I made this recipe for my family as a treat for Christmas and everyone loved it. My granddaughters wanted me to make each one their own whole cheesecake! It was the star of Christmas!

This recipe is very good! I will definately make this again, but next time I will bake the brownie batter longer, they turned out too gooey and messy, but still tasted great.**Suggestion-Pour the melted chocolate topping into a plastic sandwich bag and cut a tiny hole out of the corner to easily drizzle over the top.
